March 2021
With COVID and a declining economy came stimulus packages from the government. Being the good citizens that we are, it was decided that to help people keep their jobs, we would spend that stimulus wisely.
On a new bike of course!

This not only put money back into the economy, it also added more when Daniel bought different components, rebuilt others, and overall personalized his new ride. And it’s a win-win because it isn’t just a thing, but a way to experience adventures.
He’d done his research and figured an Evil was right for him. It had all the things he wanted from a bike, including being able to go down a frame size, so he could move it around easier. The Offering had everything he dreamed of.
Before hitting the buy button, he wanted to be sure it was right for him. This was a huge purchase, so we hit Thunder Mountain Bikes in Sedona and rented him one. As soon as he got on the bike (the right size anyway, there was a slight mix up and he first sat on a small, ha!) he instantly knew this was the bike for him.
The climbs were easier, the descents just as much fun, and his smile bigger than ever. As soon as we got home, he ordered one.

The bike arrived on a weekday just days before our trip to Maui. He got it put together and it sat in the living room for a few days. His inaugural ride was down the hall and into the bedroom. Sorta. The handlebars were too wide to fit.
When we got back, though, the first thing we did was go for a ride, naturally. Because we were still feeling the jet lag (that crap is no joke), we did a short loop on Country Club, which was fun and just right for our energy levels.
He’s since customized the matte blue beast with a red oval chainring by Absolute Black, Crank Bros pedals, and rebuilt his DVO Diamond fork. It climbs like a dream and the descents are smooth. A great all-around bike for a big guy.
